General Information
The Mansfield University School Library program offers a high quality, practical curriculum that is also very convenient. Not only can you study from home via the Internet, but you will also benefit from the experience of school library practitioners who have designed the courses and facilitate your learning. Class sizes average around 24 students. While traditional library science programs prepare generalists to work in all types of libraries, the SL&IT program focuses solely on school libraries.
Beginning Spring 2011, MU will award 48-50 scholarships. Generously funded by the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the grant project is called Fulfilling the Promise. We will award scholarships until all funds are expended.
Scholarship recipients must first gain admission to the School Library & Information Technologies graduate program. To guarantee a seat in the next semester please apply for admission to Mansfield University at the same time you apply for a Fulfilling the Promise Scholarship.
